$47M 4% UNHCR COLOMBIA Funding and donors 2024 TYPE OF CONTRIBUTIONS Only the contributions received in Colombia can be referenced with exact amounts, while the rest are allocated flexibly based on resources raised at the regional level for Latin America by UNHCRs Regional Office for the Americas, located in Panama, and globally by UNHCRs Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Therefore, it is not possible to precisely relate the amount of funds executed by UNHCR Colombia from each donor contributing at the global and regional levels, as their flexible contributions are directed by the Headquarters to the operations that need them the most. UNHCR receives contributions from three types of donors: the public sector (countries and governments), the private sector (companies and individuals), as well as funds from other agencies within the United Nations system. Private donors can give directly to UNHCR or through UNHCR’s National Partners. Here are UNHCR's top donors for 2024: Map 1: UNHCR's Top 10 global donors (June 30, 2024) This document outlines the funding received by UNHCR Colombia and identifies its main donors during the first half of 2024. UNHCR receives contributions from donors at three levels: 1) Globally, UNHCRs largest donor is the United States, followed by the European Union, Sweden, Dennmark, France, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Germany and Switzerland, all of which are among the top 10 donors.
