1. Abibliography of works related to the work of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) has been produced since its inception in 1968 and was originally incorporated into the annual Yearbook.! 1968 and was originally incorporated into the annual Yearbook.! The authorization for inclusion of the bibliography in the first volume of the Yearbook was given at the third session of the Commission.? Each subsequent volume of the Yearbook has contained a bibliography of materials on the Commission and its work prepared by the secretariat. From the nineteenth session of the Commission in 1986 to present, the bibliography has been distributed as a document for the annual Commission session.?
2. Atthe inception of the bibliography, collecting bibliographic information on the wide range of topics addressed by UNCITRAL, especially in a geographically and linguistically diverse manner, was more challenging because there were less materials available and the technologies for making this information accessible on a global level were more limited. While there are still challenges in accessing bibliographic information, especially from a geographic and linguistic diversity perspective, the bigger challenge now is that there is both an overload of information and a lack of secretariat resources, due to the liquidity crisis, to dedicate to collecting bibliographic information and compiling the bibliography.
3. This document contains bibliographic information of writings related to the work of UNCITRAL that was compiled by the secretariat from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025. The bibliography is organized by subject in order of the historical development and grouping of topics.
