FIFA Guardians – safeguarding self-assessment survey for Member Associations

Dear Sir or Madam, FIFA’s mission is to promote the game of football, protect its integrity and make the sport accessible to all. As part of that effort, "FIFA’s Strategic Objectives 2023 -2027" sets out FIFA’s commitment to promot ing safe sport , ensuring that e veryone who plays or participates in football has the right to do so in a safe and enjoyable environment. Since 2019, the FIFA Guardians programme has aimed to address the ongoing safeguarding and capacity -building needs of Member Associations, primarily through the FIFA Guardians Child Safeguarding Toolkit for Member Associations and the FIFA Guardians Safeguarding in Football Diploma. This programme has provided practical guidance, education, and support materials to assist FIFA’s 211 Member Associations in strengthening safeguarding standards at the national level. To enhance FIFA's ongoing safeguarding efforts and better address the needs of its 211 Member Associations, the Loughborough University has been commissioned to conduct an independent evaluation and assess the impact of the FIFA Guardians programme. As part of this initiative, we invite all Member Associations to complete the safeguarding self-assessment survey here by 11 April 2025. Your valuable feedback will help with the continued development and global roll -out of the programme and help monitor progress over time.
