Thomas, Secretario del Consejo Permanente.- 2El PRESIDENTE: I call to order this meeting of the Preparatory Committee of the General Assembly, convened to consider the topics in the order of business, document AG/CP/OD.297/99 rev. 1. ORDEN DE PRECEDENCIA DE LAS DELEGACIONES Y LOS OBSERVADORES PERMANENTES El PRESIDENTE: The first item refers to the establishment of the order of precedence of the delegations. According to Article 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the General Assembly, the order of precedence of the delegations for each session shall be established by lot by the Preparatory Committee. I therefore invite the Permanent Representative of The Bahamas to draw the name of the delegation that will be first in the order of precedence. According to Article 11 of the Rules of Procedure of the General Assembly, the head of the delegation in first place in the order of precedence shall preside over the session of the General Assembly until the President is elected. Additionally, the Chair suggests that the order of precedence of the permanent observers follow the alphabetical order of those observer states in Spanish. It is so agreed. PROYECTO DE TEMARIO DEL VIGÉSIMO SEXTO PERÍODO EXTRAORDINARIO DE SESIONES DE LA ASAMBLEA GENERAL El PRESIDENTE: The next item refers to the draft agenda, contained in document AG/CP/doc.613/99. If there are no observations, the Chair suggests that we recommend to the special session of the General Assembly that it adopt the draft agenda. Is it so agreed. PROYECTO DE CALENDARIO DEL VIGÉSIMO SEXTO PERÍODO EXTRAORDINARIO DE SESIONES DE LA ASAMBLEA GENERAL El PRESIDENTE: The next item refers to the draft schedule for the special session of the General Assembly, document AG/CP/doc.614/99 rev. 1. If there are no objections, I suggest that we recommend to the special session of the General Assembly that it adopt this draft schedule. It is so agreed. We have disposed of the items on the order of business. I remind representatives that the special session of the General Assembly will begin in 10 minutes.
