Excellency: I have the honor to address you in my capacity as Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL), in order to respectfully request that you consider the inclusion of a slot on the agenda of the plenary of the fifty-sixth regular session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States, which is to be held in Panama City from June 22 to

24, 2026. This request is made in coordination with the recently appointed Chair of the Permanent Executive Committee of CITEL, Ms. Paula Bogantes Zamora, Minister of Science, Innovation, Technology, and Telecommunications of Costa Rica. We should appreciate the opportunity to make a brief presentation to the plenary of the General Assembly in order to submit key aspects of the 2025 Annual Report and to highlight the progress, results, and strategic priorities of the Organization in the area of telecommunications and digital transformation in the Americas.
