The Permanent Mission of Costa Rica to the Organization of American States presents its compliments to the Chair of the Preparatory Committee of the General Assembly and has the pleasure to refer to the preparations for the fifty-sixth regular session of the General Assembly, which is to be held in Panama City, Panama, from June 22 to 24, 2026. In that regard, the Permanent Mission requests the good offices of the chair in submitting for the consideration of the member states, within the framework of the discussions of the Preparatory Committee, the inclusion of a space for the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission to make a brief presentation to the plenary of the General Assembly. The purpose of the presentation is to submit key aspects of the 2025 Annual Report, as well as to highlight the progress, results, and strategic priorities of the Organization in the area of telecommunications and digital transformation in the Americas. The Permanent Mission of Costa Rica avails itself of this opportunity to convey to the Chair of the Preparatory Committee of the General Assembly the renewed assurances of its highest consideration.
