DEVELOPMENT, EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT The OAS Scholarship and Training Programs within the Department of Human Development Education and Employment (DHDEE) of the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development (SEDI) offers scholarships for undergraduate and graduate-level studies, short-term professional training courses and innovative online training opportunities for citizens and permanent residents of the active OAS Member States. Its goal is to increase access to affordable quality higher education for citizens of the Americas and support member states.04 33 ACTIVE MEMBER STATES Supporting citizens of all member states in the North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean region. 75 OBSERVER STATES The Permanent Observers provide cooperation, in the form of training opportunities, expert services, equipment, and cash contributions for various OAS programs. STRATEGIC Together, the OAS seeks to build cooperation among states and advance a common regional agenda on democratic governance, human rights, multidimensional security, and sustainable development.

PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM

FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING (PAEC) Through partnerships with institutions across member states, the OAS creates opportunities for students to gain knowledge and experience abroad with support of 30% - 100% tuition waiver and other benefits. 4 Currently open PAEC offeringsASPPAEC APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS • Be a citizen or permanent resident of an OAS Member State. • Adhere to the specific requirements of each institution. Important disclosures for Applicants (Also valid for the ASP) • Must be studying at an institution outside of their country of origin. • Scholarship recipients must return to their country of origin unless they have permission to stay in the country of study to pursue higher education or join an international organization to work that serves the development of the Americas. • Applicants must verify with the appropriate authorities in their home country that the degree they are applying for will be recognized or accredited before submitting their scholarship application. • Be a citizen or permanent resident of an OAS Member State. • Possess the language competence to undertake studies in the language of the institution in country of study. • Have completed the first two (2) years of the undergraduate degree or have an Associate’s degree. (Undergraduate Program) • Have obtained a first university (Bachelor's) degree by the time of application to the Scholarship. (Graduate Program) • Have a GPA above the minimum standard required by the university. • Be in good physical and mental health to complete the program successfully. LAISION OFFICE (ONE), IF REQUIRED Applicants may be asked to submit an application through their country’s National Liaison Office (ONE).
