PRESENTATION ON THE STATUS OF ACTIVITIES

Confirmed Barbados as the host of the 14th CIP Regular Meeting to be held June 16 – 18, 2026 in Bridgetown, Barbados.

1. Political Dialogue 418 scholarships to port personnel from 29 Member States valued at a total of USD $654,050.00; 18 certified professional capacity building courses/workshops; 2,927 port personnel from 33 Member States trained in 11 technical webinars;

Four (4) Hemispheric Conferences.

2. Capacity Building

Produced a Comparative Study on Maritime Port Concession Management Systems in LAC; Revised and relaunched the CIP Model Emergency Operations Plan (MEOP) for Caribbean Ports; Revised and relaunched the CIP Green Port Guide.

3. Technical Assistance Record-level of 75 CIP

Associate Members and Strategic Partners; Signed two (2) MoUs; Presented the annual CIP Maritime Award of the Americas & Port Industry Award; Participated as expert organization in 11 regional port fora.

Competitiveness CIP Model Emergency Operations Plan (MEOP) for Ports in the CaribbeanHold the 26th Meeting of the CIP Executive Board (CECIP) on March 12. Hold the 14th CIP Regular Meeting from June 16 to 18 in Bridgetown, Barbados.

1. Political Dialogue Offer at least 400 scholarships to Member States through collaboration with Strategic Partners such as the National Port

Authority of Peru, The Caribbean Maritime University and Puertos del Estado. Hold at least 8 webinars on port-relevant topics.

2. Capacity Building Implement Phase 2 of

the Improved Disaster Risk Management for Ports in the Caribbean Project. In collaboration with the Caribbean Shipping Association, hold at least 1 Regional Training Workshop and Tabletop Exercise in the context of the project.

3. Technical Assistance Sign two (2) Memoranda of Understanding with public/private institutions.

Present the annual CIP Maritime Award of the Americas & Port Industry Award of Excellence
