INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE OF THE RED CROSS TO SPEAK DURING THE

FIFTY-SIXTH REGULAR SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY

The Permanent Mission of Panama to the Organization of American States presents its compliments to the honorable Chair of the OAS Permanent Council and respectfully seeks to address the matter of the fifty-sixth regular session of the OAS General Assembly, to be held in Panama City on June 22 to 24 of this year.

In that context, the mission requests the good offices of the Chair of the Permanent Council to submit, for the consideration of the General Assembly’s Preparatory Committee, the granting of an opportunity for the Director General of Operations for the Americas of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Ms. Elena Ajmone Sessera, to deliver a five (5) minute speech during the aforesaid General Assembly.

The Permanent Mission of Panama to the Organization of American States avails itself of this opportunity to reassure the honorable Chair of the OAS Permanent Council of its highest consideration.
