Excellency:

I have the honor to address Your Excellency to convey, through you, to the Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Affairs (CAAP), the report of the Office of the Assistant Secretary General on the budget execution for the Permanent Council meetings for the January 1 to December 31, 2025 period, in compliance with the provisions of operative paragraph IV.22.b of General Assembly resolution AG/RES. 1 (LV-E/24), “Program-Budget of the Organization for 2025.”

With this information, I would like to reaffirm my Office’s firm commitment and willingness to continue providing the CAAP with regular reports on the budget execution of the funds allocated to the Permanent Council and its subsidiary bodies, thereby contributing on an ongoing basis to greater transparency, accountability, austerity, and sound administrative and financial management of the Organization, in strict compliance with both the mandates from the member states and the provisions governing the operations of the General Secretariat.
