His Excellency Benoni Belli Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Brazil to the Organization of American States Chair of the Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Affairs of the Permanent Council Washington, D.C.

Excellency: I have the honor to address Your Excellency in reference to the decision adopted by the Permanent Council at its closed special meeting of March 26 regarding the proposed program-budget of the Organization for 2027, presented by the Secretary General in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Charter of the Organization of American States and the General Standards to Govern the Operations of the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States, and distributed as document CP/doc.6190/26.

Pursuant to that decision, and in keeping with Article 19 of the Rules of Procedure of the Permanent Council, the aforementioned document is hereby referred to the Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Affairs for consideration by the member states and for it to present the results of its discussions to the Permanent Council in advance of the fifty-sixth regular session of the General Assembly.
