Excellency: I have the honor to address Your Excellency with reference to the decision adopted by the Permanent Council at its regular meeting of today, April 8, regarding the intention of the Secretary General to appoint Ms. Patricia Kaim as Inspector General of the General Secretariat, as mentioned in document CP/doc. 6190/26, as well as to the Comprehensive Strategic Plan of the Organization of American States for 2026–2030, as presented by the Secretary General and contained in document
CP/doc. 6198/26. In keeping with that decision and in accordance with Article 19 of the Rules of Procedure, I have the honor to refer, through you, both documents to the Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Affairs for its consideration and to request that you, as its Chair, report to the Permanent Council on the results of the Committee’s discussions and the recommendations it deems appropriate.
