Excellency:

I have the honor to address Your Excellency in order to convey, through you, to the Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Affairs (CAAP) the report of the Office of the Assistant Secretary General on the status of budget expenditures for meetings of the Permanent Council in the first quarter of 2026, in accordance with the provisions contained in operative paragraph III.13.b of resolution AG/RES. 1 (LVIII -E/25), “Program-Budget of the Organization for 2026,” adopted by the General Assembly.

With this information, I wish to reaffirm the firm commitment of my office, as well as its full readiness, to continue reporting periodically to the CAAP on the expenditure of budget funds allocated to the Permanent Council and its subsidiary bodies, there by consistently contributing to the strengthening of transparency, accountability, austerity, and appropriate administrative and financial management of the Organization, in strict accordance with the mandates of the member states and the provisions governing the operations of the General Secretariat.
