Excellency: I have the honor to address Your Excellency with reference to communication CAAP/02/26, dated February 5, 2026, by which you kindly requested the good offices of this Chair to seek from the Secretary General information on the current status and the envisaged course of action for concluding the process of sale of the properties located at 2944 University Terrace, NW, and 2600 16th Street, NW

(Casa del Soldado), both in this city. This request was made in compliance with the mandate of the General Assembly contained in the resolution “Program-Budget of the Organization for 2026,” and pursuant to the agreement adopted by the Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Affairs (CAAP) at its meeting held on February 3, 2026. In response to that request, this Chair proceeded, by means of a communication dated February 6, 2026, of which Your Excellency was informed, to request the relevant information from the Secretary General. In light of the foregoing, I am pleased to transmit herewith communication SG/063/26, dated February 17, 2026, signed by the Secretary General in response to the aforementioned request, so that it may be

shared, through your good offices, with the CAAP, with a view to facilitating the effective follow-up by the Member States on the mandates of the General Assembly.
