COMMITTEE ON JURIDICAL AND POLITICAL AFFAIRS Original: Spanish NOTICE ( Informal negotiation meeting of the CAJP - Draft General Assembly resolution “Installation of the Credentials Committee of the Organization of American States” – Tuesday, February 24, 2026) The Secretariat of the Permanent Council presents its compliments to the permanent missions of the OAS member states and, on instructions from Ambassador Edison Lanza, Chair of the CAJP and Permanent Representative of Uruguay, wishes to inform the delegations that an informal negotiation meeting of the CAJP will be held to consider the draft General Assembly resolution titled “Installation of the Credentials Committee of the Organization of American States.”

I. Details  Date: Tuesday, February 24, 2026  Time: 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

 Place: Dr. José Gustavo Guerrero Room

II. Document to be negotiated:  Draft General Assembly resolution titled “Installation of the Credentials Committee of the Organization of American States” (Submitted by the Chair of the CAJP): (CP/CAJP-3878/26 rev. 1).

III. Spanish and English interpretation services will be provided for the meeting.

IV. Note: Delegations are reminded of the Chair's invitation to send in their proposals and/or comments to the Chair and/or the CAJP Secretariat (aaristizabal@oas.org) well in advance of the meeting.
