RESULTS OF THE EXERCISE OF DEBUGGING OF MANDATES ASSIGNED TO THE CAJP

As part of the rationalization process for the mandates of the permanent committees of the Permanent Council and the Inter-American Council for Integral Development, the Chair of the CAJP submitted for the consideration of member states the document “Resul ts of the exercise of debugging of mandates assigned to the CAJP” (CP/CAJP-3894/26), distributed on April 13, 2026.
The objective of the Chair is for those results to be presented at the next regular meeting of the CAJP (May 7) by Mr. Luis Alberto del Castillo of the Office of the Executive Director.
Document CP/CAJP-3894/26 contains a detailed list of mandates, together with a proposed course of action from the General Secretariat for each mandate included in the Excel table ( Analysis of the current mandates of the CAJP ). These are to be validated, or specific proposals for change are to be made during the regular meeting.
Following consideration of document CP/CAJP 3894/26, the Office of the Executive Director will update the mandates assigned to the CAJP in the Mandate Management System (SIGMA).
Once SIGMA is updated, the Office of the Executive Director will present the results of the CAJP mandate-rationalization exercise to the CAAP.

Lastly, the CAAP is expected to submit a report to the Permanent Council with a view to its consideration by the General Assembly, which will ratify the results of the exercise at its fifty -sixth regular session in Panama.
