OF THE GUIDELINES FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS IN OAS ACTIVITIES [CP/RES. 759 (1217/99)] [ Fundación Taeda para la Integración, el Desarrollo y la Equidad]ANALYSIS OF THE APPLICATION BY FUNDACIÓN TAEDA PARA LA INTEGRACIÓN, DESARROLLO Y EQUIDAD TO BE REGISTERED WITH THE OAS This document was prepared by the Office of Relations with Civil Society, under the Office of the Assistant Secretary General, to provide information to the member states of the Organization of American States (OAS) on the civil society organization Fundación Taeda para la Integración, Desarrollo y Equidad [Taeda Foundation for Integration, Development, and Equity]. The information contained in this report is provided pursuant to resolution CP/RES. 759 (1217/99), "Guidelines for the Participation of Civil Society Organizations in OAS Activities." This document includes a summary and a list of data and documentation presented by Fundación Taeda para la Integración, Desarrollo y Equidad (Fundación Taeda) in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned resolution.

1. Background A non-profit, Fundación Taeda was established in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on September 9, 2008, with a mission to contribute toward a type of sustainable development that enables the societies of the region to strive for a more prosperous future. It seeks as well to bring about development based on respect for the environment and for diversity, with a view to securing well-being for both present

and future generations. Fundación Taeda focuses on generating a sustainable and equitable future with technological innovation, where economic, social, and environmental development are in harmony. Likewise, it seeks to be a leading producer of analysis and innovative proposals that address today’s challenges. The Foundation is financed from contributions from the founders, as well as from grants, donations, and voluntary contributions. It submitted its application to the OAS on July 10, 2025.

Primary areas of activity and contributions that could be of interest to the OAS Fundación Taeda is primarily dedicated to pursuing research proposals, strategic communication, and leadership training, and promotes dialogue and policy-making in such areas as security, defense, energy, and the environment in the Americas. The Foundation believes that its experience in generating strategic knowledge, promoting informed public debate, and fostering regional cooperation on security and sustainable development issues can be of tremendous value to the

OAS.

4. Identification of potential areas of collaboration with the OAS F undación Taeda para la Integración, Desarrollo y Equidad proposes to collaborate with the OAS in the following areas: Providing the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development with input to help promote and pursue issues such as environmental sustainability, energy security, and innovation.

Working together with the Secretariat for Multidimensional Security, especially with its Department against Transnational Organized Crime, to develop proposals on the challenges posed by organized crime in Latin America and the Caribbean. Follow-up on implementation of Summits of the Americas mandates and OAS General Assembly and Permanent Council resolutions. Promoting civil society participation in activities organized by the OAS and registration of civil society organizations in the OAS roster.
