OEA335 Note 2.1.0.7 The Permanent Mission of Mexico to the Organization of American States (OAS) presents its compliments to the Chair of the Committee on Inter-American Summits Management and Civil Society Participation in OAS Activities (CISC), and has the honor to refer to the work being undertaken within the Working Group to Review the Proposed Guidelines for the Participation of Civil Society Organizations in the Activities of the Organization of American States. In that connection, this Mission is pleased to submit herewith Mexico's nomination for Chair of the aforementioned Working Group, in the person of Counselor Pedro Eliud Cisneros Cuervo, Alternate Permanent Representative, and respectfully requests that this note be translated and distributed among the member states for their information. Mexico is putting forward this nomination based on its firm interest in contributing to the process of reviewing the Guidelines in a constructive, pluralistic, and transparent manner, convinced it is important for the mechanisms for civil society participation to be strengthened, in keeping with the

Organization’s principles, mandates, and institutional practices.
