Place: Padilha Vidal Room The regular meeting of the Committee was presided over by its chair, Ambassador Mayerlyn Cordero Díaz, Permanent Representative of the Dominican Republic to the OAS.

A quorum was established with the presence of representatives of Argentina, Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Lucia, and the United States. 1. Adoption of the order of business The order of business of the meeting, document CP/CISC-1253/26 rev. 1, was adopted by the Committee without amendment.

2. Consideration and adoption of the draft work plan and draft schedule of meetings of the CISC for the 2025–2026 term The Committee considered and adopted the work plan and schedule of meetings of the CISC for the 2025–2026 term. The plan adopted by the Committee was published with the classification CP/CISC-1231/25 rev. 2.

3. Election of the Chair of the Working Group to Review the Guidelines for the Participation of Civil Society Organizations in OAS Activities (Working Group to Review the Guidelines)

The Committee elected, by acclamation, Councilor Pedro Eliud Cisneros Cuervo, Alternate Representative of Mexico to the OAS, to serve as Chair of the Working Group to Review the Guidelines for the Participation of Civil Society Organizations in OAS Activities (Working Group to Review the Guidelines)

4. Presentation of the proposed guidelines, document CP/CISC-1248/26

The Assistant Secretary General of the Organization, Ambassador Laura Gil, referred to the progress made in the review process for the Guidelines for the Participation of Civil Society Organizations in OAS Activities. The remarks of the Assistant Secretary General can be found here. Then, Ms. Paulina Corominas, Chief of the Office of Relations with Civil Society of the Office of the Assistant Secretary General, presented the proposed guidelines and referred to different aspects of the consultations carried out in their preparation. The statement of Ms. Corominas can be found here. The delegations of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Saint Lucia, and the United States expressed their appreciation for the presentations and referred to various aspects of the proposed guidelines, which would be considered by the working group established for that purpose.

5. Presentation and consideration of applications by 14 civil society organizations to be registered with the OAS.
