PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE OEA/Ser.G
ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES CP/CSH/INF.615/26 rev. 2 23 March 2026
COMMITTEE ON HEMISPHERIC SECURITY Original: Spanish
NOTICE
(Invitation to the brown-bag lunch scheduled for Friday, March 27, in the Gabriela Mistral Room) The Secretariat of the Permanent Council presents its compliments to the permanent missions of the member states and, at the request of the Chair of the Committee on Hemispheric Security (CSH), has the honor to advise that, as mentioned at the meeting of the Committee held on March 5, the CSH will hold a brown-bag lunch in the Gabriela Mistral Room, located on the TL of the GSB, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026. The purpose of the meeting is to provide a space for dialogue and the exchange of ideas on possible approaches to optimizing the new structure for the consideration of substantive issues, as set out in document CP/CSH/INF.602/25. A light lunch and beverages will be served on that day. To facilitate the necessary logistical arrangements, the Chair requests that the distinguished delegations kindly confirm their participation with cibarra@mire.gob.pa and jgslazar@oas.org, no later than 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25. Two guiding questions are put forward for the meeting: How can participation and coordination among delegations, the Committee’s officers, and the General Secretariat be strengthened to improve the effectiveness of discussions? What information could delegations share, where possible, in advance of meetings to facilitate a substantive dialogue aimed at optimizing and, when necessary, establishing, coordination and cooperation mechanisms to advance multidimensional security priorities in their respective countries and/or subregions, as well as to develop proposed mechanisms for mobilizing technical and/or financial support for the implementation of OAS programs and projects?
