The Permanent Mission of Canada to the Organization of American States (OAS) presents its compliments to the Chair of the Permanent Council of the OAS and has the honor to respectfully request, on behalf of itself and the Permanent Mission of Haiti, that the item “Marking Francophonie Week at the OAS” be included on the order of business of the regular meeting of the Permanent Council scheduled for March 18, 2026. This request is in accordance with a mandate contained in resolution AG/RES. 3024 (LIVO/24), “Marking Francophonie Week at the OAS,” adopted by the OAS General Assembly at its fiftyfourth regular session in Paraguay, in June 2024. The Permanent Mission of Canada to the Organization of American States avails itself of this opportunity to convey to the Chair of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States the renewed assurances of its highest consideration.
