GENERAL SECRETARIAT TO IMPLEMENT TWO MANDATES CONTAINED
IN RESOLUTION AG/RES. 1 (LVIII-E/25)CAAP/05/2026

Excellency: I have the honor to address Your Excellency in my capacity as Chair of the Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Affairs (CAAP) to request your good offices in seeing to the inclusion of the following item on the order of business of the next regular meeting of the Permanent Council: Consideration of the recommendation of the Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Affairs to grant an extension until September 30, 2026, for the General Secretariat to fulfill the following mandates from the General Assembly: - Present proposed improvements to the Performance Evaluation System in accordance with operative paragraph III.1(f) of resolution AG/RES. l (LVIII-E/25). - Carry out an operational audit of the Medical Benefits Plan in accordance with operative paragraph III.2 (a) of resolution AG/RES. l (LVIII-E/25).
At its meeting of March 3, 2026, the CAAP decided to submit this recommendation to the Permanent Council for approval. Please accept, Excellency, renewed assurances of my highest consideration.
