NOTICE

(Deadline for comments on draft resolution “Mandate Management and the OAS Strategic Plan 2026–2030”) The Chair of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States, Ambassador Luis Ernesto Vargas, Permanent Representative of Colombia, and the Chair of the Inter-American Council for Integral Development (CIDI), Ambassador Edison Lanza, Permanent Representative of Uruguay, present their compliments to the permanent missions of the member states and have the pleasure to refer to draft resolution "Mandate Management and the OAS Strategic Plan 2026–2030," document CP/doc.6185/26. In this regard, and in response to the request made by the CARICOM member states (CP/INF.10873/26), a two-week period will be opened for the receipt of comments from delegations on the draft resolution. This period will begin on the date of receipt of the proposed Strategic Plan of the Organization 2026–2030, which the Secretary General is expected to submit by March 31, 2026, in accordance with the extension granted by the Permanent Council at its regular meeting of December 17, 2025. Once the proposal has been received, the deadline for the submission of comments will be communicated in due course, along with the course of action for the negotiation of the draft resolution and its subsequent submission to the General Assembly for consideration. The Chair of the Permanent Council and the Chair of CIDI thank the permanent missions in advance for their participation in this joint effort and avail themselves of this opportunity to convey the renewed assurances of their highest consideration.
