N O T I C E

(Deadline for comments on draft resolution “Mandate Management and the OAS Strategic Plan 2026–2030”) The Chair of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States, Ambassador Alejandra Solano Cabalceta, Permanent Representative of Costa Rica, and the Chair of the InterAmerican Council for Integral Development (CIDI), Ambassador Edison Lanza, Permanent Representative of Uruguay, present their compliments to the permanent missions of the member states and have the pleasure to refer to draft resolution “Mandate Management and the OAS Strategic Plan 2026–2030,” document CP/doc.6185/26. As jointly reported by the two chairs in the notice distributed as document CP/INF.10879/26, and in response to the request made by CARICOM member states, a comment period for delegations on the draft resolution has been opened and will close on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. That deadline was set following the receipt, on March 31, 2026, of the Strategic Plan for the Organization 2026–2030, as submitted by the Secretary General and contained in document CP/doc.6198/26. At the end of that period, the course of action for the negotiation of the draft resolution and its subsequent submission to the General Assembly for consideration will be notified in due course. The Chair of the Permanent Council and the Chair of CIDI thank the permanent missions for their participation in this joint effort and avail themselves of this opportunity to convey the renewed assurances of their highest consideration.
