OEA1004 6.6.3.4 The Permanent Mission of Mexico to the Organization of American States presents its compliments to the Chair of the Permanent Council and has the pleasure to refer to the commemoration of Inter-American Day against Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms. In that regard, the Government of Mexico, in its capacity as President of the Conference of States Parties to the Inter-American Convention against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Other Related Materials and Secretariat pro tempore of its Consultative Committee, kindly requests that the Chair include the following item on the order of business of the regular meeting of the Permanent Council scheduled for April 22:

Commemoration of Inter-American Day against Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, as proclaimed by the General Assembly in operative paragraph 111 of resolution AG/RES. 2925 (XLVIII-O/18). The Permanent Mission of Mexico to the Organization of American States avails itself of this opportunity to convey to the Chair of the Permanent Council the renewed assurances of its highest consideration.
