The Permanent Mission of Argentina to the Organization of American States (OAS) presents its compliments to the Chair of the Permanent Council of the OAS and has the honor to request, on behalf of itself and the delegation of Canada, the inclusion of the i tem “Update on the situation of persons deprived of liberty for political reasons in Venezuela” on the order of business of the regular meeting of the Permanent Council scheduled for May 6.

The Permanent Mission wishes to inform that, for the occasion, the Chair of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, Edgar Stuardo Ralón Orellana, is expected to give an update on the above topic.

The Permanent Mission of Argentina to the Organization of American States avails itself of this opportunity to convey to the Chair of the Permanent Council the renewed assurances of its highest consideration.
