PLACE AND DATE OF THE TWENTY-FIFTH REGULAR MEETING OF THE

CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE OF THE INTER-AMERICAN CONVENTION AGAINST THE

ILLICIT MANUFACTURING OF AND TRAFFICKING IN FIREARMS, AMMUNITION,

EXPLOSIVES, AND OTHER RELATED MATERIALS

(Adopted by the Permanent Council at its regular meeting, held on December 17, 2025, and amended at its regular meeting on April 8, 2026) THE PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES, UNDERSCORING the importance of the Inter-American Convention against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Other Related Materials (CIFTA) in further improving public security in the Americas; BEARING IN MIND the importance of continuing to foster cooperation and technical assistance aimed at facilitating full implementation of the CIFTA; CONSIDERING that, in accordance with Article XXI (2) of the Convention, the Consultative Committee of the CIFTA shall hold one regular meeting each year, in order to exchange information, encourage cooperation, and promote measures to facilitate the application of the CIFTA; and RECALLING that the General Assembly, by resolution AG/RES. 3031 (LIV-O/24), resolved to convene the twenty-fifth regular meeting of the Consultative Committee of the CIFTA pursuant to Article XXI of the Convention,

RESOLVES:

1. To set May 19, 2026, as the date for the twenty-fifth regular meeting of the Consultative Committee of the CIFTA, which will be held in a hybrid format at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States.

2. To request the General Secretariat to render the technical and administrative support necessary to prepare for said meetings and to make appropriate arrangements for them to be held,
