NOTICE

(Chairs of the subsidiary technical groups of the MISPA process) The Secretariat of the Permanent Council presents its compliments to the permanent missions and, on instructions from the Chair of the Working Group to Prepare the Ninth Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Public Security in the Americas, is pleased to transmit information on the chairs of the subsidiary technical groups of the MISPA process, who will be in charge of organizing the work of each group in preparation for MISPA IX, which will be held in Panama on October 22 and 23 this year. The work schedules of each group will be drawn up with the respective chair and published at a later date. The following are the chairs of the subsidiary technical groups of the MISPA process, together with the proposed dates of meetings:  Subsidiary Technical Group on Emergency and Security Systems, chaired by the delegation of the Dominican Republic – date of meeting to be determined  Subsidiary Technical Group on Police Management, chaired by the delegation of the Dominican Republic – date of meeting to be determined  Subsidiary Technical Group on the Prevention of Crime, Violence, and Insecurity, chaired by the delegation of Guatemala – meeting scheduled for the first week in September 2026.- 2The Chair wishes to remind the distinguished delegations that the chair of the Subsidiary Technical Group on Strengthening International Cooperation is vacant. Accordingly, the Chair kindly requests that delegations interested in occupying the chair of that subsidiary technical group advise the Secretariat as soon as possible.
