Fifth Preambular

The Argentine Republic and the United States reaffirm their commitment to the protection of the individual rights of all human beings, without distinction, in accordance with the obligations expressly agreed to in the international treaties to which they a re party. They also recall that they consider the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to consist of legally non-binding aspirations that each State, in the exercise of its sovereignty, has the right to interpret and pursue freely.

Eleventh Recommendation

The Argentine Republic and the United States understand that intersectionality is a theory of antidiscrimination law that does not enjoy consensus within the scientific community. Intersectionality fragments anti -discrimination categories, running the ris k of confining individuals within them and perpetuating discriminatory stereotypes. Likewise, the theory of intersectionality refers specifically to only one portion of the possible victims of trafficking, centered on populations considered to be intrinsic ally oppressed.

In this regard, the Argentine Republic and the United States prefer to use the vulnerability perspective, which is flexible and does not give rise to social stigmatization.
