The Permanent Mission of Mexico to the Organization of American States (OAS) presents its compliments to the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) and has the honor of referring to the elections of the CIP Executive Board (CECIP) for the upcoming period 20262029 to be held in the context of the 14 th Regular Meeting of the CIP to be held in Barbados in 2026.

In this regard, the Permanent Mission communicates the decision of the Mexican Government to present its candidacy to Chair the CIP’s Executive Board. This decision is based on the interest in contributing to the development of a competitive, safe, sustainable, and inclusive port sector in the Americas. In this regard, the Permanent Mission of Mexico is grateful for the support of the CIP Secretariat in registering this candidacy and disseminate it amongst the CIPOAS Member States.

The Permanent Mission of Mexico to the Organization of American States takes this opportunity to reiterate the assurances of its highest consideration to the Secretariat of the InterAmerican Committee on Ports of the Organization of American States.
