The Permanent Mission of Guatemala to the Organization of American States (OAS) presents its compliments to the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) and has the honor of referring to the CIP Executive Board (CECIP) and Technical Advisory Group (TAG) elections to be held in the context of the 14th Regular CIP Meeting in June 2026 in Barbados.

In this context, the Permanent Mission of Guatemala is pleased to communicate the decision of the Government of Guatemala its interest to Chair , through the National Port Commission (CPN), the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on Port Protection and Security for the 2026-2029 period. In this regard, grateful for the CIP Secretariat’s support in disseminating this candidacy amongst the Member States.
