Isabelle Valois Executive Secretary for Integral Development Organization of American States Washington, D.C.
Dear Ms. Valois:
I have the honor of writing with reference to the Twelfth Inter-American Meeting of Ministers of Education, originally scheduled to be held in Quito, Ecuador, on July 20 and 21, 2026. In that regard, I would greatly appreciate your kind assistance in rescheduling the meeting to a date in the last quarter of the year.
This decision reflects the resolute commitment of Ecuador, as the country leading this ministerial process through its Ministry of Education, Sport, and Culture, to fostering a high -level dialogue that ensures the broadest possible participation of the reg ion’s education authorities. In that context, rescheduling the meeting will help create more favorable conditions for a substantive exchange on the principal challenges, opportunities, and priorities shared by member states, thereby fostering consensus-building and the identification of concrete actions to strengthen education systems in the Hemisphere.
