Summary of the regular meeting held on June 9, 2026

The meeting of the Committee was presided over by its chair, Ambassador Ana Irene Delgado, Permanent Representative of Panama to the OAS.

A quorum was established with the presence of representatives of Argentina, the Bahamas, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Saint Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago.

1. Adoption of the order of business

The Committee adopted the order of business, document CP/CSH-2405/26.

2. Consideration of the list of current mandates, fulfilled mandates, and mandates from previous years that do not meet the new definition of a mandate

Mr. Luis Alberto del Castillo of the Office of the Executive Director requested an amendment to the list of current mandates, fulfilled mandates, and mandates from previous years that do not comply with the new definition of a mandate (document CP/CSH -2402/26) submitted on May 28, in order to address the request from the Inter -American Defense Board (IADB) to exclude operatrive paragraph 118 of resolution AG/RES. 3031 (LIV -O/24), on the grounds that it does not meet the definition of a mandate contained in paragraph III.6.e of resolution AG/RES. 1 (LVIII-E/25).

The Committee reviewed and approved the list with the amendment requested by the IADB. The approved document was published with the classification CP/CSH-2402/26 rev. 1.

There being no further business to consider, the Chair adjourned the meeting.
