October 2024 1 of 2 Declaration of non-compliance of the International Federation of Basque Pelota (FIPV) Relevant Consequences and Impact requiring action by stakeholders
On 12 September 2024 the World Anti -Doping Agency issued an all -stakeholder communication confirming WADA’s Executive Committee’s (ExCo’s) endorsement of the independent Compliance Review Committee’s (CRC’s) recommendation to allege FIPV as non -compliant with the World Anti -Doping Code (Code). A formal notice of non -compliance was issued to FIPV on 12 September 2024, allowing twenty-one days starting from the formal notice (i.e. until midnight EDT on 3 October 2024) to dispute the allegation of noncompliance, and/or the consequences , and/or the conditions of reinstatement . Since the FIPV did not file any dispute, the allegation of non-compliance is now deemed admitted, the Signatory consequences and reinstatement conditions are now deemed accepted, and consequently the formal notice has automatically become a final decision enforceable with immediate effect in accordance with Code Article 24.1.9. While WADA will monitor the implementation of the consequences imposed on FIPV, this communication aims to draw your attention to the fact that under Code Article 24.1.9, other Signatories to the Code must recognize and implement these consequences in full. Please refer to the following for more information on the relevant consequences and their potential impact on your organization.
